Marry Me Chicken Orzo
Marry Me Chicken Orzo – Creamy, cheesy, and packed with tender chicken, sun dried tomatoes, and spinach, this one pan dinner will steal the show at your dinner table. Full recipe on the blog!
Ingredients
* 1 lb Chicken Breasts Thin sliced
* 2 tablespoon Butter
* 1 tablespoon Minced Garlic
* ½ Yellow Onion finely diced
* 1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning
* 1 cup Sun-Dried Tomatoes canned/in a jar
* 1 cup Orzo Pasta dry
* 3 cups Chicken Broth
* ½ cup Heavy Cream
* 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella
* 1 cup Fresh Spinach packed
* Salt and Pepper to Taste
Instructions
* First, heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the butter. Cook the chicken on both sides until it reaches at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit and is fully cooked inside. Once done, remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
* Next, use the same skillet to cook the aromatics. Add the minced garlic, diced yellow onions, Italian seasoning, and sun dried tomatoes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir occasionally until the vegetables begin to brown slightly and release their fragrance.
* Then stir in the orzo pasta, heavy cream, and chicken broth. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer until the orzo is tender and most of the liquid has cooked down, stirring occasionally. Stir in the shredded mozzarella cheese until the sauce becomes creamy and smooth.
* Finally, add the fresh spinach and cook until it wilts. Cut the chicken into your desired pieces and return it to the skillet. Mix everything together until fully combined and serve immediately. Enjoy a creamy, flavorful, and comforting Marry Me Chicken Orzo!

Preparing Marry Me Chicken Orzo at home is a game-changer for busy weeknights. I love how this recipe balances the richness of cream and mozzarella cheese with the bright, tangy flavor of sun-dried tomatoes. Using thin-sliced chicken breasts ensures the meat cooks quickly and stays juicy without drying out. When I make this dish, I also like to simmer the orzo pasta slowly in the chicken broth and heavy cream mixture, stirring occasionally, to get that luscious creamy texture that binds all the ingredients beautifully. One tip that has improved my version is adding the fresh spinach at the very last moment to keep its vibrant color and slight crunch, which brings a fresh contrast to the creamy sauce. Also, seasoning the dish well with Italian herbs, garlic, and salt and pepper elevates the flavor profile immensely. This recipe is very versatile—feel free to swap mozzarella for Parmesan or add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a subtle kick. Since it’s a one-pan meal, cleanup is minimal, which is a huge bonus. It’s definitely a crowd-pleaser that can easily impress guests or make a comforting family dinner. The blend of creamy sauce with tender chicken and orzo makes it indulgent yet simple. If you enjoy comforting one-pan meals that are quick and delicious, this Marry Me Chicken Orzo will quickly become one of your favorites.
