I love making brownies because they’re a nice and quick dessert you can make. You don’t need much to make them either!
I used the Betty Crocker supreme chocolate chunk mix for my brownies. There’s tons of mixes you can use out there. This is specifically for the mix I chose.
Ingredients you’ll need:
- Betty Crocker brownie mix
- 1/4 cup of water
- 1/3 cup of vegetable oil
- 1 egg
- Marshmallows
- Chocolate chips
Note; If you want more cake like brownies use two eggs instead of one.
Recipe directions:
1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
2) In a medium bowl you’re going to combine the brownie mix, water, vegetable oil, and egg. Mix it in until it’s smooth.
3) Add in the marshmallows & chocolate chips. I basically just did as much as I wanted. So it’s at your digression.
4) Bake brownies for a minimum of 30 minutes. It will be based on how big of a pan you’re using. If they need longer, let them bake longer.
5) Take them out and let them cool.
6) Cut brownies as desired and enjoy!
Ways to upgrade; You can add a dollop of ice cream on top of your brownie bite. I recommend vanilla ice cream. You can even add a swirl of whipped cream.
You can add many things to brownies if you wish. But I wanted gooey brownies! It’s like a brownie s’more. ✨
... Read moreI’ve always found that using a good quality brownie mix like Betty Crocker Supreme Chocolate Chunk really elevates the brownie experience, especially when you want that luscious gooey texture. One trick I learned is adjusting the number of eggs depending on the brownie style you’re after; for fudgy brownies, stick to one egg, but if you prefer a cakier bite, adding an extra egg makes all the difference.
Adding marshmallows and chocolate chips to the batter creates delightful pockets of gooey melted chocolate and gooey marshmallow that remind me of s’mores, making these brownies extra indulgent. When mixing in these add-ins, I tend to fold them gently so they don’t sink to the bottom, ensuring that every bite is evenly packed with gooey goodness.
Oven time is another key factor for gooey brownies. I usually check my brownies at the 25-minute mark, then adjust based on the pan size and my preferred consistency. A toothpick that comes out with moist crumbs rather than clean is the sweet spot for gooey brownies.
For an upgraded serving, topping each brownie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream adds a creamy contrast to the rich chocolate. Sometimes, I also add a light swirl of whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate or caramel sauce for extra decadence.
Experimenting with other mix-ins like chopped nuts, caramel bits, or a sprinkle of sea salt on top before baking can also transform these brownies into something special tailored to your taste. Making brownies from a mix is quick and fuss-free, but these extras let you personalize the recipe and impress your family or guests with minimal effort. Happy baking and enjoy your ooey-gooey treat!
