My plate featured a hearty Salisbury steak with its rich onion gravy, perfectly complemented by savory mustard chicken. For sides, I had a colorful mix of roasted sweet potatoes, crisp green beans, and tender broccoli, all rounded out with a generous scoop of creamy mashed potatoes. It felt like a gourmet spread, even though it was all from previous meals! The key is to combine different textures and flavors that work well together, ensuring every bite is interesting. Reheating is crucial, and it’s not a one-size-fits-all approach. For meats like Salisbury steak or that mustard chicken, I often prefer using a pan on the stovetop or even the oven. This helps to re-crisp any edges and prevents them from getting rubbery or dry, which can happen in the microwave. A little splash of broth or water when reheating can also keep things moist.
