Allergies, Cold, Dry Air

My throat is swollen, ears hurting, nose stuffed up and a cough to add to the razzle dazzle the typical chronic migraine.

I’ve tried broth, electrolytes, saline, Teas, Honey, smoothies, soups, sore throat drops -temporary work. The whole bowl of water in front of heater a wet towel in the room leave the door open, boil water steam face with a towel over the head.

I’ve come to an acceptance with needs and the dry heaving all that just progressed. So I got me a Lěvoit humidifier and distilled water! In the last few hours my cough doesn’t sound as nasty not as repetitive with ear and throat dryness nose is bit better.

I love my apartment as great as is on its insulation breathing and a good throat is just as important. I use to think purifiers were for colds.

( I didn’t ever have one or a family that invested in one. If you’re sick you get can of the chicken noodle soup that you heat up, a pot with some water that you throw up in and flush in the toilet then refill a toilet paper roll you took from school home and a grocery bag as the garbage. You stay home once it progresses. Sometimes this nasty green cough syrup.)

But given all my health and this apartment I figured it would be good as a whole… So I did my research needed something immediate today. Shifted options based on delivery delays. Then this was the result and I can say it hasn’t failed me. I look toward to how I feel in the morning the start of the days are tough for me.

Does anyone have this one or looking into one?

For the loves that have similar health challenges would you say it’s helped you if so how?💓

... Read moreLiving in dry air conditions, especially during colder months, can significantly worsen symptoms related to allergies, colds, and even trigger migraines. I've personally found that maintaining optimal indoor humidity plays a crucial role in managing these symptoms. After trying multiple remedies like broth, teas, and steam treatments, the relief was always temporary. The turning point for me was investing in a Levoit humidifier and using distilled water. Unlike other quick fixes, the humidifier provided consistent moisture in the air, which quickly eased the dryness in my throat, ears, and nose. For anyone facing similar health struggles, controlling the indoor environment is key. It's important to note that using distilled water prevents mineral buildup in the device, ensuring cleaner mist and better air quality. I place the humidifier close to my resting area for maximum benefit, especially overnight. This small change drastically reduced my cough's severity and frequency. Moreover, the benefits extend beyond symptom relief. Proper humidity helps maintain skin hydration, reduce static electricity, and may improve sleep quality by alleviating nasal congestion. If you're considering a humidifier like the Levoit, be sure to clean it regularly to prevent mold growth. In my experience, combining the humidifier with hydration and warm soothing drinks maximizes recovery comfort. If you live in a well-insulated apartment where air tends to be dry, introducing a humidifier can transform your living environment and health. For those with chronic conditions or sensitive airways, this investment truly elevates wellbeing during cold or allergy seasons. It’s encouraging to share that after a few hours of use, the persistent roughness in my throat softened, and breathing felt easier. Starting days with less discomfort has made enduring chronic migraines somewhat more manageable. Have you tried a humidifier like Levoit during dry, cold seasons? Sharing your tips or experiences can help others navigate similar health challenges. Keeping indoor air moist is one simple yet effective step that can significantly improve quality of life in these tough months.
