Brown Butter Brownies 🤎
* 3/4 cups unsalted butter, browned + 3/4 cups unsweetened cocoa powder
* 1 3/4 cups light brown sugar
* 1/4 cup white granulated sugar
* 3 large eggs
* 2 tsp vanilla extract
* 3/4 cups all purpose flour
* 1/2 tsp salt
* Chocolate chips of choice (about 1/2 cup)
Bake Temperature: 350F
Bake Time: 25-26 minutes, edges will be set and the middle should come out with a knife with a little bit of brownie batter
1. Preheat oven to 350F.
2. Take your 8x8 or 9x9 square pan grease and line with parchment paper. Set aside.
3. In a saucepan on medium low heat bring your butter to simmer.
4. Let your butter simmer and brown until a nutty aroma forms. Use a whisk so butter specks don’t get stuck to pan.
5. Pour into a bowl and immediately add your cocoa powder. This will bloom your cocoa and bring that lovely chocolate flavor. Let cool for 1-2 minutes.
6. Add your brown sugar and white sugar. Whisk together until combined. Add your eggs and vanilla extract and whisk in.
7. Add your flour and salt. Combine your wet and dry ingredients until somewhat smooth being sure not to over mix.
8. Add your chocolate chips and fold into brownie batter.
9. Pour you brownie batter into your lined pan an evenly spread throughout pan.
10. Bake at 350F for 25-26 minutes. Your knife should come out the middle with a but of brownie batter.
11. Take out of oven and let cool for 40 minutes to ah hour before cutting.
