Meet my cat, Toast 🍞
we’ve adopted this precious fur baby a week ago! he’s the sweetest baby. when we met him he was so playful and full of life and he charmed us immediately. we had a vision for how we wanted to live our lives together and we see an adventurous one so his natural curiosity to the outside was huge green flag for us. unfortunately his previous owners who surrendered him allowed him to become over weight at just 10 months old so we have to place this butter ball on a diet to get him back down to a healthy weight. but he’s doing so well in his new home! he became comfortable right away 🥹 he’s very loving and affectionate and it’s been fun to see his little personality come out more💗💗💗 #cat #pet #lemon8challenge #love

Aww...he loves and trusts you...There are so many health advantages to owning a pet...They help lower blood pressure, they help people with PTSD...And I've been a cat mom for over 15 years now and I'm a Veterinary Technician...Out of all my schooling, the one thing I've learned about cats is that the trust of a cat is the hardest thing to achieve, but once you have that trust, you have everything...Sidenote: Cats need fresh water every day...Also, if a cat stops eating, take him to the vet...Toast is a great name! Cats are obligate carnivores who are basically self-sufficient...Just make sure your plants aren't poisonous to felines...Because Cats will eat house plants...Just go online and find out if they are, then either rehome the PLANT, (not the furball lol), or put in a room where he can't have access...I'll answer any questions you may have about him or about Cats in general...But I recommend getting a. microchip, and to get him back to you, you need to register your info online...so important. Or how else is anyone going to know to whom he belongs? I presume he's neutered if you adopted him? That's so important too...if you decide to add another furball, it's good to get another neutered male...Most neutered males get along with each other...Playtime is very important...he has a "hunt, catch, kill" INSTINCT...So wand toys are best...Also, IMO, I would feed wet food and dry food...most cats are "grazers"...meaning they like to snack so I leave a bowl of high-quality protein dry out for my furball Kei...And try to keep him on the same brand of wet food because if you switch foods, it could cause diarrhoea...There's a formula online about the new food ratios to give him over time...My furball is Kei... she's 5 years old, spayed, and she's "bossy" LOL...She's super-independant too...And brushing Toast once a day will help with keeping his coat glossy...I feed Kei (pronounced "kai"), Blue Buffalo wet, and Nutrish (Rachel Ray) dry. Blessings!
