The key to achieving that signature soft, fluffy texture combined with a rich, cheesy flavor lies in balancing the dry ingredients and the buttery topping. Using all-purpose flour with baking powder and a touch of baking soda creates the right rise and texture for the biscuits. Freshly shredded sharp cheddar cheese is preferred for maximum flavor impact. Mixing cold cubed butter into the dry ingredients with a pastry cutter ensures a crumbly dough that will bake into tender biscuits. Baking at 400°F for 12-15 minutes allows them to rise beautifully and develop a golden crust. The finishing brush of melted butter mixed with parsley, garlic, and Italian seasoning mimics the classic Red Lobster glaze, adding moisture and herbaceous notes that make these biscuits irresistible. To customize, you can experiment with different types of cheese like smoked cheddar or add a pinch of cayenne for a spicy kick. Serving these biscuits warm with soups, salads, or seafood entrees makes for a delightful meal. For best results, immediately brush the melted butter mixture after baking to lock in flavor and moisture. Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat gently to maintain softness. This recipe is perfect for home cooks wanting to replicate a beloved restaurant favorite. It offers an affordable and satisfying way to enjoy those iconic biscuits anytime without the wait. Plus, guests and family will be amazed you handcrafted this classic treat from scratch.
