Starbucks Double Chocolate Brownies

Instructions

1. Preheat Oven:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easier removal.

2. Melt Butter & Mix with Sugar:

In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt 2 sticks (1 cup) unsalted butter. Stir in 2 cups of granulated sugar while the butter is still warm to help dissolve it slightly.

3. Add Wet Ingredients:

Mix in 4 large eggs, one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated. Then stir in 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract.

4. Mix Dry Ingredients Separately:

In a medium bowl, whisk together 1 cup all-purpose flour, ½ cup cocoa powder, and ½ teaspoon salt.

5. Combine Wet & Dry:

Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined—do not overmix.

6. Add Chocolate Chunks:

Gently fold in 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chunks.

7. Pour & Top:

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Sprinkle additional chocolate chunks on top for that signature double chocolate look.

8. Bake:

Bake for 40 minutes (metal pan) or 60 minutes (glass dish), or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (but not wet batter).

9. Cool & Serve:

Allow brownies to cool completely in the pan before cutting for best texture.

... Read moreStarbucks double chocolate brownies are more than just a dessert—they are a rich, indulgent experience. This recipe is designed for chocolate lovers, combining creamy butter with granulated sugar and a medley of chocolate chunks. Preheating your oven and preparing your baking pan properly are essential first steps. For best results, use quality cocoa powder and ensure your eggs are at room temperature for better mixing. When adding dry ingredients to the wet mixture, be gentle—overmixing can lead to dense brownies. The magic of these brownies lies in the added chocolate chunks, which melt and create gooey pockets throughout. For an aesthetic touch, sprinkle more chunks on top before baking. Bake until just set. This method ensures your brownies will be fudgy rather than cakey. Remember that every oven is different; if you’re using a glass dish, bake longer to avoid undercooking. Once baked, allow them to cool for optimal texture and cutting. Not only are these brownies visually appealing, but they also provide an irresistible burst of chocolatey flavor—perfect for sharing or an indulgent treat for yourself!
