Morning, friends!
J let me sleep in till well past my usual wake-up call, and that works for me. 💕
Now, I'm up and at 'em. Meeting today for a new podcast idea at Book Notification. Admin stuffs. Plus, our bestie Sean is popping out this afternoon. That insanely wonderful human turned 50 today! Happy Birthday, Sean!
So, I'm just casually easing into my day. We all need one like that.
Today, I read: ❝𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘧𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮.❞
Why must something so simple seem so hard?
Why are people shitty to the minimum-wage paid kid at the café?
Why are people shitty when they drive?
What makes people feel so good to be so shitty at work, in school, in public, in the grocery line, on the bus, at the concert, in the restaurant?
And when did we get so entitled to be shitty at all? Who empowers people to behave like that? Online, with their public profile on display. In the wild, where their whole human proudly wears their shittiness like a badge.
Listen - when you go out today. When you scroll today. When you run errands today. When you answer that call today, return that text, open that door- you'll be around someone. Digitally, virtually, physically.
Leave them better than you found them. Start with a smile and go from there.

Great advice, where are people's manners gone?? ❤️😊😉
