Christmas Cookie Bars

Christmas Cookie Bars

Ingredients:

½ cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup light brown sugar, packed

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

¼ teaspoon salt

1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour

½ teaspoon baking powder

¼ teaspoon baking soda

1 cup red and green M&M’s

½ cup white chocolate chips

¼ cup holiday sprinkles

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter and brown sugar until smooth. Add the egg, vanilla extract, and salt, and mix well.

Stir in the flour, baking powder, and baking soda until just combined.

Fold in the red and green M&M’s, white chocolate chips, and holiday sprinkles, reserving a few for the top.

Press the dough evenly into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle the reserved M&M’s and sprinkles on top.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Let the cookie bars cool in the pan before slicing into squares.
