✨ usually it’s just faster water weight loss, not actual body fat

For instance, I used to avoid carbs completely when trying to lose weight, thinking it would speed up fat loss. However, the initial weight loss I saw was mostly water weight, and I quickly felt fatigued during workouts. Incorporating balanced carb intake—especially from whole grains, fruits, and vegetables—not only improved my energy levels but also made my diet more enjoyable and sustainable. Carbs play an essential role in fueling exercise, which is critical for effective fat loss. Without enough glycogen stored from carbs, I noticed my performance dropped and recovery took longer. This led me to realize that consistent training supported by adequate carbs and a calorie deficit yields the best results. Additionally, there are many myths about insulin and fat storage that caused confusion. While insulin does influence how your body uses energy, the overall daily energy balance remains the main driver of fat loss. Taking a more flexible approach to including carbs helped me stay consistent with my nutrition and avoid the burnout associated with restrictive low-carb diets. If you want to lose fat without giving up the foods you love, focusing on sustainability, calorie balance, and consistent healthy habits is far more effective than cutting out carbs entirely.
