OK, so I don’t have proof of it right now because I ate it before I got a picture. But I was craving something to go with my baguette that I’ve gotten from Walmart and I end up making this. It was so good. You have to try it. And the best part was, it was only a few ingredients that I already had.
INGREDIENTS
Tomato
Balsamic glaze
Garlic
Butter
Hot honey
Parmesan cheese
Cream cheese
Baguette (will be turned into crostinis)
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Slice baguette into smaller pieces, get melted butter, garlic, onion powder, garlic powder, and basil or oregano brush it on top toasted in the oven.
2. Chop tomato unless you’re using cherry tomatoes, use a bit of olive oil onion powder, garlic powder, pepper, a bit of salt, put into air fryer, or oven drizzle with a bit of balsamic glaze until it’s roasted
3. Once done mix into a container with a good chunk of cream cheese, Parmesan cheese a bit more balsamic glaze a little drizzle of hot honey and mash the tomato in slightly smaller pieces.
And then you’re done it’s really really good. Trust me.

... Read moreI recently tried making this roasted tomato dip with garlic crostinis, and it quickly became one of my favorite easy snacks. What I love most about this recipe is how it uses very basic ingredients I usually have on hand—like cream cheese, Parmesan, and a hint of hot honey—to create a burst of flavor that pairs perfectly with the crispy crostinis.
To prepare the crostinis, brushing the baguette slices with melted butter mixed with garlic powder, onion powder, and either basil or oregano before toasting adds an amazing savory aroma. Toasting them in the oven gives them just the right crunch without drying them out.
For the tomato dip, roasting the tomatoes with a drizzle of balsamic glaze enhances their natural sweetness while reducing the acidity. Whether you use chopped vine tomatoes or cherry tomatoes, the air fryer or oven works well. After roasting, combining the tomatoes with cream cheese and Parmesan cheese adds creaminess and richness, while a touch more balsamic glaze and a drizzle of hot honey balance sweetness and tanginess with a subtle spicy kick.
One tip I found helpful is mashing the tomatoes just enough to keep some texture, which adds an enjoyable rustic feel to the dip. This dip is incredibly versatile — you can serve it with fresh veggies, crackers, or even as a spread on sandwiches.
Overall, this roasted tomato dip recipe is quick to prepare, requires minimal ingredients, and yields impressive results. It's a perfect option when you want a flavorful snack without a lot of effort or fancy ingredients.
