Creamy Garlic Parmesan Tortellini with Golden-Brow

Ingredients:

**For the Tortellini:**

- 1 package (20 oz) cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)

- 1 tbsp olive oil (for sautéing)

**For the Garlic Parmesan Sauce:**

- 3 tbsp unsalted butter

- 4 garlic cloves, minced

- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour

- 1½ cups heavy cream

- 1 cup milk

- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

- 1 tsp Italian seasoning

- ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)

- ½ tsp black pepper

- ½ tsp chili flakes (optional, for heat)

**For Topping:**

- ½ cup shredded mozzarella (for broiling)

- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Directions:

1. **Cook the Tortellini:**

- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the tortellini according to package instructions.

- Drain and set aside.

2. **Sauté the Tortellini:**

- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the cooked tortellini and sauté for 2-3 minutes until golden-brown. Remove and set aside.

3. **Prepare the Garlic Parmesan Sauce:**

- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

- Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes to form a roux.

- Slowly whisk in the heavy cream and milk, cooking until the sauce thickens.

- Add the Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and chili flakes (if using). Stir until the sauce is smooth and creamy.

4. **Combine:**

- Add the sautéed tortellini back into the skillet and stir to coat with the sauce.

5. **Broil for a Golden Top:**

- Preheat the broiler. Sprinkle the top of the dish with shredded mozzarella cheese.

- Place the skillet under the broiler for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden-brown.

6. **Serve:**

- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot. Pair with garlic bread or a fresh salad for a delicious meal!
