pumpkin pie crème brulée recipe (fall dessert) 🎃

The perfect fall dessert! Not any regular pie either … it’s a pumpkin pie in the form of crème brulée! It’s creamy, sweet, and just so delicious. Make sure to give this one a try!

Servings: 6

- 5 egg yolks

- 1/2 cup white granulated sugar

- 2 cups heavy cream

- 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree

- 2 teaspoons pumpkin spice

- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

- Pinch of salt

- Boiling water for water bath

Directions:

1. Preheat the oven to 325°F. In a bowl, add egg yolks and sugar. Whisk until smooth, a pale yellow color is what you are looking for.

2. Add heavy cream to a pot and warm over low heat for 5 minutes, do not boil.

3. Mix in pumpkin puree, pumpkin spice, vanilla extract, and salt. Whisk until combined and take off the heat.

4. Carefully add a small amount of the hot cream mixture into the egg mixture. Whisk well. This is called tempering, repeat this process until both mixtures are fully combined.

5. Place ramekins, I used 6 oz, on a baking tray. Strain the mixture and pour into each one equally.

6. Create a water bath by filling the tray with boiling water. Bake for 45 - 48 minutes. It is done when the custard slightly JIGGLE JIGGLES in the middle.

7. Cool completely IN the water bath. Refrigerate ramekins overnight. This will ensure it to set perfectly.

8. When ready to serve, take it out about 5 - 10 minutes beforehand. Add 1 teaspoon sugar and brulee. Serve immediately and enjoy!
