Butter Pecan Cookie
My Homemade Butter Pecan Cookies with White Chocolate Chunks Are Dangerous 🤎🍪
I made these Butter Pecan Cookies completely from scratch and honestly… they might be one of my favorite cookies
The buttery cookie base, toasted pecans, and chunks of white chocolate melt together perfectly. Soft in the center, slightly crisp around the edges, and packed with flavor.
✨ Prep Time: 20 minutes
✨ Bake Time: 12-14 minutes
✨ Ingredients
• 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
• 1 cup light brown sugar
• 1/2 cup granulated sugar
• 2 eggs
• 2 tsp vanilla extract
• 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans, toasted
• 1 large white chocolate bar, chopped into chunks
👩🏽🍳 Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Toast pecans in a dry skillet for 3-5 minutes until fragrant. Let cool.
3. In a large bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and sugar until light and fluffy.
4. Add eggs and vanilla extract. Mix until combined.
5. Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt until dough forms.
6. Fold in toasted pecans and white chocolate chunks.
7. Scoop cookie dough onto a lined baking sheet.
8. Bake for 12-14 minutes or until edges are golden and centers still look slightly soft.
9. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
🤎 What I Love About Them:
The toasted pecans give that rich buttery flavor while the white chocolate balances everything out with extra sweetness. They’re sweet but not overpowering. Next time I might add a little flaky sea salt on top just to make the flavors pop even more.
👩🏽🍳 Personal Tips:
• Toast your pecans first for deeper flavor
• Don’t overbake; the centers should still look slightly soft
• Use chopped white chocolate bars instead of chips for those gooey pockets of chocolate
There’s just something special about baking from scratch. Taking simple ingredients and turning them into something this good will never get old to me.
