Food dehydrator 💚
My green onions grow extremely fast, so I decided to dehydrate them and make green onion powder. The process took 4-6 hours. Once it cooled down I grinder it and used for Sunday Dinner🪴🌱
Dehydrating food is a great way to preserve flavors and nutrients. Green onions, also known as scallions, are versatile in cooking and can enhance various dishes. To dehydrate your green onions, start by washing and chopping them into small pieces. Spread them evenly on a dehydrator tray and set it to 125°F (52°C) for approximately 4-6 hours, or until they are fully dried and brittle. After dehydrating, let them cool before grinding into a powder. This green onion powder can be used in soups, stews, and as a seasoning in dressings and marinades. For those who love gardening, growing your own green onions can be a rewarding experience, as they are easy to cultivate indoors or outdoors. Not only do they add flavor to your meals, but they are also rich in vitamins A, C, and K.
