Super Bowl Series Part 1: Spinach Dip

Starting the Super Bowl series off with a delicious Spinach dip served in a bread bowl. This is a great appetizer to kick off the party and to get you prepared for the main course.

Ingredients

* 2 packs oz Spinach

* Tortilla Chips

* 1 1/2 cups Heavy Cream

* 8 oz Cream Cheese (room temperature)

* 8 oz Mozzarella cheese (shredded)

* 1 cup Parmesan cheese (shredded)

* 1 Shallot

* 3 Garlic Cloves

* 1 tsp Garlic Powder

* 1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes

* Salt & Pepper to taste

* Bread Loaf of choice

Instructions

* Preheat oven to 400 degrees

* Prepare your mise en place by shredding your cheese and chopping the garlic & shallot

* In a pan on medium heat sauté your spinach and about half through the cooking process add in the garlic and shallot

* Once the spinach is sautéed pour in your heavy cream

* When the heavy cream is mixed in add in your cream cheese then mix to combine

* Once added mix in the Parmesan cheese and turn stovetop to a simmer and continue to cook until dip has thicken. Once thickened take off stove top

* Hollow out the top of the bread loaf and pour in the spinach dip

* Topped with the more Parmesan cheese and mozzarella and bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is golden brown

* Allow to cool for 5 minutes before dipping your tortilla chips in and serving
