I received one of these bars in a Sephora Favorites set. I did NOT finish this! I’m not really a body bar person, but this is AWFUL!! It’s such a rough, uncomfortable exfoliation. It literally scratched up my skin so badly and turned my skin bright red for hours. This directly on your skin is the WORST thing you could do for your skin. It didn’t seem to have a scent, but I only tried this twice. It literally hurt to use it on my skin. I had to throw it away. This is by far the worst body product I have ever used. Body care should be luxurious and calming, it shouldn’t hurt and scrape up your skin!

From my personal experience with exfoliating products, I've learned that not all exfoliants are created equal—especially when it comes to body bars. The exfoliant I tried was reportedly a buffing bar that promised smooth skin but ended up causing irritation and redness. This highlights a crucial point: exfoliating products should enhance your skin’s health without causing damage. Many exfoliating bars contain abrasive particles meant to slough off dead skin, but if these particles are too rough or the formulation isn’t balanced, they can disrupt the skin’s natural barrier. This can lead to inflammation, redness, and sensitivity, as I experienced firsthand. For those interested in exfoliation, it’s essential to look for body bars with gentle exfoliants like finely ground oats, sugar, or jojoba beads rather than harsh chemical or physical scrubs. Additionally, using an exfoliating product in moderation is key. Over-exfoliating or applying too much pressure can harm the skin. After my experience, I've switched to milder exfoliants and always test a small patch first. Also, following exfoliation with a good moisturizer helps to restore skin balance and soothe any irritation. If you have sensitive skin or are new to exfoliation, consider exfoliating only once or twice a week and opt for products labeled for sensitive skin. It’s also helpful to check reviews and ingredient lists beforehand. Your skin deserves luxurious and calming care—it shouldn’t feel painful or scratched. This experience has reinforced the importance of selecting exfoliating body products carefully and listening to what your skin truly needs.
