Benefits of Stewed Apples🍎🍏
The most delicious & healthy snack I have ever made!! I was shocked when I heard about the benefits of this!! And it is so easy to make, which is another plus!! It seriously tastes like apple pie but without the guilt🙌🏻
The apples are cooked in such a way that it brings out the pectin in them from the apple skins, which makes for a great prebiotic and nourishes the microbiome. The pectin heals a leaky gut & creates less bloating.
What you’ll need:
•Organic Apples
•Water (a little for bottom of pot)
•Cinnamon
•Lemon Juice (optional)
•Nutmeg (optional)
I like to cook mine for about 20 minutes so they are just soft enough, but you can cook them up to your preference! I also do keep the skins on because that’s where most of the nutrients is coming from!
