[Pt 15] Eating at Every Michelin Guide Restaurant
My Ratings:
🍴Food: 7/10
- standout: NAMTOK KOR MOO YANG tangy, addictingly spicy, pork is cooked perfectly
- HOR MOK HOY MANG PHU eggy, 2 each is enough
- BEEF MUSSAMAN perfectly rich and balanced, this is always a go to curry for me, beef is sort of tough though, i wish I went for the crispy duck or the short rib option
🍸Drinks: 5/10
- CHOO JAI tastes like juice
- MA NA too heavy on the ginger beer
✨Ambience: 8/10
- such a large space with upstairs and downstairs
- takes you into old town alleys of Bangkok
🤵Service: 5/10
- service is average, but fast
- had to wait extra even with a res cuz it gets so busy

When visiting Bangkok, dining at a Michelin-rated establishment like Pranakhon is a must for food enthusiasts. Known for its inspired street food, this restaurant beautifully fuses traditional Thai flavors with modern dining experiences. Namtok Kor Moo Yang, a standout dish, features grilled marinated pork jowl that stands out in both taste and presentation, offering a delightful tanginess that's addictive. Another highlight, the Beef Mussaman, serves up a rich curry experience, combining tender beef with a mix of peanuts and coconut milk that transports your taste buds to new heights. For seafood lovers, the Hor Mok Hoy Mang Phu should not be missed. This dish presents steamed mussels infused with a curry paste custard that provides a uniquely Thai twist to an already delightful meal. Drinks at Pranakhon also deserve attention; while the Choo Jai is refreshing, the Ma Na is notably spicy, emphasizing the playfulness of flavors at this dynamic venue. Pranakhon's ambiance adds to the dining experience, presenting a sizable space that captures the essence of old town Bangkok’s charm. However, be mindful of the service, which may be efficient but can sometimes feel average during peak hours. It’s always wise to make a reservation due to its popularity. Overall, dining here is not just about savoring a meal; it’s about immersing oneself in the rich culture of Thai street food brought to life in a Michelin-worthy setting.
