Adding a quality protein source, such as grilled chicken, tofu, or legumes, completes the meal by providing essential amino acids that support neurotransmitter production, crucial for brain and nerve function. Protein stabilizes blood sugar levels, which helps prevent mood swings and irritability often linked to nervous system imbalances.
