Today’s post is a reminder to not give up !!

My weight went down 1 lbs compared to yesterday but I look like I’ve gained 10lbs I’m assuming it’s just period symptoms.

I honestly feel a little discouraged but there is always ups and downs when it comes to weight loss so I’m gonna keep going and reach my goal 🔥🔥

It's so relatable to feel discouraged when the scale drops but your body feels bloated or looks different, especially with hormonal changes. But as the original post reminds us, "there is always ups and downs when it comes to weight loss." That mindset is key to pushing through! Looking at the daily goals for this plan, it's clear this isn't just about cutting calories, but a holistic approach to a weight loss transformation. The target of 10 lbs in 4 weeks is ambitious, but achievable with consistency. My plan, which started at 176lbs and is now at 173lbs on Day 10, focuses on several critical areas. First, movement is non-negotiable. Aiming for 10k-20k steps daily is a fantastic way to boost your daily calorie burn without strenuous workouts. I've found hitting over 10,000 steps, sometimes even reaching for more, makes a huge difference in my energy levels and overall calorie deficit. For instance, one day I hit 10,018 steps, covering 4.2 miles in 46 minutes, burning 450 calories! It doesn't have to be a dedicated gym session every time; parking further away, taking the stairs, or an evening stroll all add up. Next up, nutrition is paramount. The goal of 1400 max calories coupled with 130g protein is designed to promote fat loss while preserving muscle mass and keeping you feeling full. I track everything rigorously, and seeing my daily intake like 1212 kcal consumed with a breakdown of 35% protein, 37% carbs, and 27% fat helps me stay accountable. Prioritizing protein has been a game-changer for managing cravings. Remember, 130g in lbs is roughly 0.28 lbs of protein, which might seem like a lot, but it's crucial for satiety. Keeping processed foods and eating out to a minimum, as the plan suggests, also helps control hidden calories and unhealthy fats. Hydration is another simple yet powerful tool. Drinking 80oz of water daily not only keeps you hydrated but can also help with hunger pangs, sometimes mistaken for thirst. And let's not forget sleep – aiming for 7 hours is vital for hormone balance, which directly impacts weight loss. I also make sure to include a 20-minute stretch to aid recovery and flexibility, and yes, absolutely no alcohol or specific treats right now to stay on track. The feeling of looking like you've gained 10lbs even when the scale drops can be incredibly frustrating, especially for women experiencing period symptoms. This is where patience and understanding your body comes in. Trust the process and remember that fluctuations are normal. Focus on non-scale victories like increased energy, better sleep, or clothes fitting differently. Taking progress photos, even if they're not "before and after weight loss pictures" just yet, can also be motivating.
