French toast made with Goat milk (for one)
French Toast with Goat Milk (for One)
Ingredients
• 2 slices of bread (preferably thick-cut, such as sourdough or brioche)
• 1 large egg
• 1/4 cup goat milk
• 1 tsp sugar (or honey, maple syrup, or your preferred sweetener)
• 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
• 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
• Pinch of salt
• Butter or ghee for cooking (preferably ghee for extra flavor)
• Toppings: Fresh fruit, syrup, powdered sugar, or whipped cream
Instructions
1. Prepare the Batter
• In a bowl, whisk together the egg, goat milk, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon (if using), and a pinch of salt until well combined and smooth.
2. Preheat the Pan
• Heat a non-stick skillet or small griddle over medium heat. Add a small amount of butter or ghee to the pan to coat the surface. Let it melt and get hot but not smoking.
3. Dip the Bread
• Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, making sure both sides are coated evenly. Let the bread soak for a few seconds, but avoid soaking it too long to prevent it from becoming soggy.
4. Cook the French Toast
• Place the soaked bread slices onto the hot skillet. Cook each side for about 2–4 minutes, or until golden brown and slightly crispy. Flip carefully with a spatula.
5. Serve
• Once cooked, remove the French toast from the skillet and place it on a plate.
• Top with fresh berries, maple syrup, a dusting of powdered sugar, or your preferred toppings.#homemadefrenchtoast #brunch #breakfastrecipeideas #food #homemaderecipes
