🤎Zae’s Brown Butter Glaze
My 🤎 Butter Vanilla Glaze tastes good on any thing, me, you, him and her included 😜
Here’s how I made it: ⬇️
Zae’s Brown Butter Vanilla Glaze 🤎
Ingredients
• 4 tbsp salted butter, browned until golden and nutty
• 1 ½-2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
• 2–3 tbsp French vanilla coffee creamer
• Splash, 1/2 tsp, vanilla and butter extracts
Once butter has cooled slightly, but is not solid, whisk the browned butter and sifted powdered sugar together. Next, add coffee creamer and extracts until the glaze becomes silky, smooth, and pourable, or until your desired consistency is reached.
Once the glaze is thick or thin enough to your liking, pour over your cake and enjoy. Absolutely delicious! 🤤
I've always been a fan of experimenting with glazes to add a special touch to my baked goods, and Zae's Brown Butter Vanilla Glaze quickly became one of my favorites. The key to this glaze is the browned butter, which gives a subtle nutty and caramelized flavor that complements the sweetness perfectly. To achieve this, I gently melt salted butter on medium heat and cook it until I see golden brown specks and smell that rich, toasty aroma — this step really transforms the simple ingredients. What I appreciate about this glaze is its versatility. Depending on the dessert, you can adjust the thickness by varying the amount of powdered sugar and coffee creamer. For a drizzly finish on cupcakes, I keep it a bit thinner, while for a luscious cake frosting, I make it thicker. Also, using French vanilla coffee creamer instead of plain milk or cream adds an extra layer of vanilla richness that pairs wonderfully with the butter extract. Another tip I found helpful is to sift the powdered sugar before mixing. This prevents lumps and helps create a smooth, glossy glaze that's easy to pour or spread. When adding the extracts—a splash of vanilla and butter extracts—start with less and adjust to taste; they really elevate the overall flavor. I've tried this glaze on simple pound cakes, cinnamon rolls, and even drizzled it over warm brownies, and it never fails to impress family and friends. It’s a quick way to add professional bakery quality without requiring fancy equipment. Plus, the aroma of browned butter while preparing it fills the kitchen with an inviting scent that heightens the anticipation. If you're looking to impress with a homemade glaze that's both flavorful and straightforward, Zae's Brown Butter Vanilla Glaze is a must-try. It combines everyday ingredients in a way that feels special and indulgent, perfect for sharing with loved ones or enhancing your favorite treats at home.
