people often use the unhealthy coping skills because it may seem like the only option. I know so many people who will drink their problems away, but it does no good it just makes it worse. healthy coping skills are things to utilize when you need to cope with something (losing someone, sadness, anxiety, stress, etc.) in a way that will benefit you and is good for you. taking a nap when you’re upset isn’t a bad thing! but, sleeping through the day to make the pain go away is unhealthy. when i say “riding a bike” I mean doing something you enjoy, like drawing, just a hobby!
