🛒 Ingredients (9x9 pan)
• ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• ½ cup brown sugar (packed)
• 2 large eggs (room temp)
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• ¾ cup all-purpose flour
• ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
• ½ tsp salt
Optional add-ins (highly recommended):
• ½ cup chocolate chips or chunks
• ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans

1. Preheat & prep
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Line a 9x9 baking pan with parchment paper.
2. Melt butter & sugars
Melt butter and pour into a mixing bowl.
Whisk in granulated sugar and brown sugar until glossy.
3. Add eggs
Whisk in eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
Stir in vanilla. (This step gives you that crackly top ✨)
4. Mix dry ingredients
Sift together flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
Gently fold into wet mixture just until combined.
Fold in chocolate chips if using.
5. Bake
Pour batter into pan and smooth top.
Bake 25–30 minutes, until edges are set and center is slightly soft.
6. Cool & slice
Let brownies cool completely for maximum fudginess.
