Today I'm paying attention to every moment I begin to feel isolated or afraid. Instead of believing I have been left to face life alone, I'm choosing to remember that I live every moment within God's Presence.

God is with me. I live and move in Him.

In my own journey with A Course In Miracles, Lesson 222 has been a powerful reminder that true security comes from within, through reconnecting with God’s unchanging presence. There are moments when anxiety or fear creeps in, making us feel isolated or abandoned, but this lesson encourages us to pause and recognize that these feelings are distractions from the reality of divine companionship. One practical approach I’ve found helpful is to consciously recall the affirmation, “God is with me. I live and move in Him,” during times of uncertainty or stress. This helps shift my mindset from external concerns to an inner stillness and assurance. It feels like breathing in calmness and breathing out fear. Also, reflecting on how God’s presence isn’t something to earn but the very essence of life itself has deepened my gratitude and sense of belonging. I remind myself that every breath I take is within this love and care — a nurturing force that surrounds and supports me continuously. Engaging with the quiet moments of life—whether it’s through meditation, prayer, or mindful awareness—has also strengthened my connection to this presence. I notice when I start reaching for security outside, such as in people or possessions, that it often leads to disappointment. But turning inward towards this enduring spiritual home provides a restoration of peace. Interestingly, the OCR content from Lesson 221 highlights the practice of quieting the mind and waiting in silence to hear God’s voice, which perfectly complements Lesson 222.
