A Course In Miracles Lesson 92

I notice how often I mistake passivity for weakness and effort for strength.

Lesson 92

Miracles are seen in light, and light and strength are one.

🌿 Today’s lesson says strength is what sees truly.

Weakness is what sees darkness.

When I am identified with the body, perception becomes defensive.

I see limitation, sickness, threat, loss.

Not because they are ultimate realities.

But because I am looking through a lens shaped by fear.

This reframes perception entirely.

Clarity is not achieved through effort.

It comes from alignment with truth.

A common “side effect” of reentry is that weakness often appears as vigilance, hyper-awareness, and constant scanning.

It feels protective.

But it narrows vision.

The Course points beyond appearances.

Strength does not ignore what is seen.

It sees right through it.

There is something steady beneath the fluctuations of circumstance.

When I rest my attention there, perception becomes responsive rather than reactive.

Light and strength are not separate qualities.

They are expressions of the same reality.

Miracles are seen in light.

Light and strength are one.

I am MovingStill.

... Read moreReflecting on Lesson 92 of A Course In Miracles, I have personally experienced how confusing passivity with weakness or effort with strength can mislead one's spiritual journey. This lesson reminds me that genuine strength is not about exertion or constant vigilance but about seeing clearly through the light of truth that resides within us all. In my daily life, I notice moments when I respond defensively to challenges, interpreting situations through a lens of fear and limitation shaped by bodily identification. This often narrows my perception, making everything appear threatening or insufficient. However, recalling this teaching helps me pause and reframe my view. Rather than attempting to force clarity through effort, I focus on resting in a steadier awareness—one that is responsive instead of reactive. The OCR content deeply resonates with me, emphasizing that the body’s eyes and brain cannot truly see or think without the strength of God’s light within. I find this idea liberating; it encourages me to shift attention away from the fluctuating shadows that bodily senses present and toward the constant light of strength that underlies all experience. Practicing this perspective shift during my meditation and throughout the day has brought a tangible sense of peace. I feel less compelled to constantly scan for threats or be hyper-aware of perceived weaknesses in myself and others. Instead, I cultivate a vision that overlooks appearances, perceiving the interconnected light and unity that reveal deeper miracles. The lesson's encouragement to spend dedicated time connecting inwardly to this unchanging strength and light has become a valuable practice. Twice daily, I devote moments to attending inwardly to this meeting place of self and Self, which fosters forgiveness, love, and shared purpose—qualities that weaken the grip of fear and separation. Ultimately, Lesson 92 has deepened my faith in the idea that true strength and seeing come from aligning with divine truth, rather than physical effort or vigilance. It invites all who study it to embrace the light within and witness the miracles possible when we see beyond darkness and illusion.
