A Course In Miracles Lesson 140
I notice how often I try to fix what I’m experiencing by changing what’s happening.
Lesson 140
Only salvation can be said to cure.
🌿 Something feels off,
and my focus goes to the condition.
What needs to improve.
What needs to stop.
What needs to be different.
It feels like the obvious place to work.
If the experience changes,
then the problem is solved.
But even when something shifts,
it doesn’t last.
Another version appears.
Another situation takes its place.
The pattern continues.
The lesson makes a clear distinction.
What the world calls healing
is a change within the same framework.
One condition replaced by another.
It may feel better.
But the structure hasn’t changed.
So the cycle continues.
Salvation works at a different level.
Not by adjusting what appears,
but by addressing what made it seem real in the first place.
The source.
The belief that what I’m experiencing
is something external to me
that needs to be managed.
As long as that stays in place,
the form can change endlessly
without resolving anything.
That’s why it never stabilizes.
The lesson points to the only real correction.
Not fixing the appearance,
but releasing the belief
that gives it meaning.
That’s what ends the cycle.
Not temporarily.
Completely.
Today I’m paying attention to where I try to fix what I see by changing the situation.
Where I treat surface change as resolution.
Not resisting action.
But recognizing what actually brings an end to the problem.
Only salvation can be said to cure.
I am MovingStill.
