Gochujang candied nuts

Gochujang Candied Peanuts (personal size)

½ cup peanuts

¼ cup sugar

1 teaspoon gochujang

1½ tablespoons water

Sesame seeds, to finish

Dissolve the gochujang in the water.

Heat a pan and add the gochujang mixture, then add the sugar.

Let it melt and caramelize gently.

Add the peanuts and stir until evenly coated.

Stir in sesame seeds.

Transfer to a parchment-lined pan and bake at 350 on a low rack for about 7 minutes.

Once cooled, the sugar sets into a light, crumbly coating—sweet, spicy, with just enough heat.

Tip: Try this with your favorite nut.
