From A Course In Miracles day 87 reading
These are our review ideas for today:
(73) I will there be light.
Wishing the past had been different is a habit the mind returns to easily.
A different choice.
A different sentence.
A different history.
But these wishes keep attention fixed on what cannot change.
To will that there be light means choosing to align my will with the light that is already present.
(74) There is no will but God’s.
The ego interprets life as a conflict of wills.
Mine against others.
My survival against the system.
My future against my past.
But the belief in separate wills is what produces the experience of struggle.
When I stop defending a private agenda, the pressure to fight the world begins to dissolve.
I will there be light.
There is no will but God’s.
I am MovingStill.
