A Course In Miracles Lesson 97
I notice how much of my perception has been organized around bodily experience.
Lesson 97
I am spirit.
🌿 Sensation, emotion, and circumstance have seemed to define the limits of who I am.
When life becomes difficult, it is easy to assume that vulnerability or instability is my fundamental condition.
But the Course introduces a different orientation.
It suggests that what I am is not determined by physical or psychological fluctuation.
Spirit is not a concept to adopt.
It is a recognition of what remains constant beneath change.
Throughout my time in the justice system, I became used to being seen as a body —
where I go,
what I do,
how I comply.
The body becomes the reference point for identity.
Yet the lesson does not deny these experiences.
It places them in a different order of importance.
Today I am practicing the idea that what is real about me is not subject to circumstance.
The more I consider this possibility, the less absolute the pressures of the moment appear.
I am spirit.
I am MovingStill.
